Twista

Chicago rapper Twista is known for his tongue-twisting, chopper style of rapping and was the one-time holder of the Guinness World Record for fastest rapping in 1992. With a steady rise from the underground in the late '90s, he made his breakthrough in the early 2000s atop the success of number one single "Slow Jamz." The track appeared on his fourth effort, 2004's Kamikaze, which also topped the U.S. albums chart. He remained in the Top 40 into the 2010s while also stacking diverse collaborations with the likes of Lil Jon, DJ Khaled, Tech N9ne, Mariah Carey, the Prodigy, Travis Barker, Lady Gaga, and many more.

Petey Pablo

One of the more versatile rappers who came out of the Dirty South school of hip-hop in the early 2000s, multi-gold and Grammy-nominated North Carolina native Petey Pablo has demonstrated the art of mixing poignancy with sharp, gut-wrenching lyrics that reach across age, race and social status. The gruff-voiced MC was born and raised in Greenville, NC, and is best known for rap anthems such as “Raise Up,” “Freek-A-Leek” and “Carolina Colors,” have become mainstays on urban radio and as sports stadiums across the country.

Chingy

Kicking off his career in 2003 with the massive hit "Right Thurr," St. Louis rapper Chingy spent two solid years in the limelight, releasing two platinum-selling albums while becoming a household name thanks to some television appearances and movie roles. With Chingy's slow drawl and laid-back swagger, the track became the anthem for hot summer nights, peaking at number two on Billboard's Hot 100 while topping the magazine's Hot Rap Tracks chart. Released in July, his debut album Jackpot spawned two additional Top Five hits, "Holidae In" with Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, plus "One Call Away" with J/Weav. Featuring the singles "Balla Baby" and "Don't Worry," the platinum-selling Powerballin' would become his first album for the label in 2004.
